Long bio: I’m an American blogger starting a new life in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You can check out my progress here, in the BA Life category.
Before Argentina, I was a sometime amateur pornographer who lived in Europe, mostly in Prague, Czech Republic for five years. I’m not so good with dates or being able to discern time passing. In Prague, I was a tour guide, a pimp, a procurer, an agent, a pornographer, but mostly what I became was a writer. Blogging had permanently, I hope, dislodged the writer’s block that had disabled me for many years in the U. S. Having an audience, fans even, provided some wonderful motivation. I often got to meet readers of my blog when they visited and some of them have become very good friends. (Hi Craig!)
Mostly, however, my life revolved around Prague’s rent boys. I loved them so much that hanging out with them almost exclusively resulted in my being evicted from my flat and spending a year homeless on the streets of Prague. Crazy, I know, but what’s even crazier is that despite the hardship and sleeping rough, I was deliriously happy. (Thanks for the adjective, Manchester Lee!) You can begin to read the whole story here, although there’s a big gap. I’m slowly working on moving the posts from blogspot to this blog. Anyway, you’ll meet so many characters and so many boys, it will be hard to keep track. I know it sometimes is for me.
This newest incarnation of HOMO SUPERIOR represents my fourth blogging life. My first blog was called The Rent Boys of Prague and I’m currently, slowly, editing the entries and designing a book to be self-published on Lulu in the near future. That blog ended when I bankrupted myself and ran back to the States to recover. The second blog started after I returned to my home in Chicago and continued when I returned to Prague, after 6 months of failing to live a satisfying life; it ended when I again lost everything, including my bank account and credit card, and of course, my web server and domain name.
I stopped blogging for a few months and then took it up again when it became obvious to me that I really wasn’t good at anything else. It’s been running on blogspot since July 2005 and now, with my own server, I have no plans to stop.
So I’m good to go. Hope y’all will stay around for the brand new ride. In Buenos Aires, Argentina.
