Friday’s Faces of Angels, of Devils

I no longer have the time to curate hundreds of photos. Not even three times a week. You have no idea how long it takes to collect, compress, upload, choose ten best ones and then post it all.

So, I’ve changed the theme to make it easier for me to post every day, but quick ‘n’ dirty. Ya know, sometimes I like that.

There are still some kinks to work out. The nifty-if-they-worked arrow keys at the top for navigating quickly from post to post, for instance, don’t do anything. But WooThemes always fixes things. Let me know if you find something especially weird.

All the old content is still here. For instance, hover your mouse over the Free Galleries menu item, up and over there in the left sidebar. There they are: Straight Boys, Big Cocks, etc. Your favorites.

Although I’ll try to upload when I can, this gallery regardless, this is probably the last big gallery I’ll provide for download directly. Click here to download all 139 male portraits for free. More free stuff here. Remember you can subscribe to any updates from within MediaFire.

199 mugs to lose yourself in, or, at least I hope you’ll like a few of them. Faces seem to be the one area of the body upon which no one can agree on its value. For me, the faces of every one of these guys offer something memorable.

The first of today’s mascots is Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, the co-star of my newest American-television obsession, Supernatural. If you haven’t seen it, the show is a clever, affectionate amalgam of every paranormal series that’s made it big, from The Night Stalker through The X-Files (Still, on at least two occasions, Dean goes so far as to say, “This ain’t the X-Files.”) but a little Moonlighting and Starsky & Hutch, as well. Supernatural reminds me most of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, however, because there’s as much comedy as drama as well as the requisite self-awareness and self-reflexivity of modern television. Like Buffy, Supernatural takes its characters and their relationships very seriously but irreverently plays around with the genre and its expectations. And like Buffy, there are gay cultural references. Plenty of ‘em.

The show goes so far as to acknowledge the “homoerotic subtext” by having the two brothers, Sam & Dean, in one episode attend a Supernatural-fan convention where there’s a special panel on, yup, The Homosexual Subtext of Supernatural. Slash fans and authors, take it away. Also, don’t miss the funny and sweet Ghostfacers episode in which “big gay love pierces the veil of death and saves the day.” If there aren’t any queers working on this show, there sure are some cool straight boys.

Anyway, Ackles is handsome, and a great comic actor, but it’s Dean the character I’d really like to take down, if you know what I mean.
