Facebook may show up as a smaller contribution to GDP than a nationwide chain of movie theaters, but so what? If you’d rather spend four hours a week on Facebook than fours a week going to movies, then Facebook has improved your life as much as movie theaters improved your grandparents’. If you prefer Farmville to a week in Hawaii, then Zynga has improved your life as much as the 707 improved your parents’.

Is he serious?
And if this is true — if people really think Farmville is better than a trip to Hawaii — then we have produced a nation of clueless tools. A conclusion I’m biased to believe anyway. Which is great for Facebook, I guess. People who use it regularly are supposed to have lower IQs.
Anyway, this relativist crap really burns my buns.
